In addition to receiving conflicting feedback on her involvement in a parking lot video, Tori Spelling was fired from “DWTS.” Recently, Spelling, who has been open about her body issues, thought back on her time on the program.
Hollywood actress Tori Spelling, 51, and her partner Pasha Pashkov from “Dancing with the Stars” (“DWTS”) created a stylish dance video that they shared on Instagram on September 24 to lighten the mood. Although the video, which was posted prior to their “DWTS” elimination, showcased their dance prowess, internet users were more interested in Spelling’s appearance.
Pashkov and Spelling, choreographing their routine to Freak Nasty’s “Da’ Dip 25,” radiated calm confidence as they put their hands on their waists and shook their hips back and forth. In a parking lot, the two gave their all while dancing.
Then, on camera, Pashkov—clad in a black sweatsuit and charcoal T-shirt—dipped all the way back in a chair until his left leg was extended out and he was parallel to the floor.
Spelling followed suit, wearing a red, flowy skirt and a black tank top. However, she utilized the stair railing as support rather than a chair.
After that, the two performed a stunning low dive together, with Pashkov tightly gripping Spelling’s back. The video then returns to the two performing the identical hip-swaying motion from the beginning, and then it shows them eating what appears to be delicious sushi after dipping it in sauce.
Instead of adding any commentary, Pashkov just captioned the photo with “🍣>.” Social media users expressed their comments in the post’s comment section after viewing the dance video. A few online users mentioned that Spelling’s appearance seemed off.
Someone saw her head and wondered, “Why does she look so big?” Another person mirrored the sentiment, saying, “Her plastic face seems large.”
“A little too much lip injections and plastic surgery,” said one onlooker. Why actors damage their faces is beyond me. It appears so out of place.” Another person said, “Too much cosmetic surgery = looking older.” With an apparent attempt to be impartial, an Instagram user wrote, “Tori is the most [interesting-looking] person.”
A few admirers, however, rebutted the criticism by complimenting Spelling’s appearance. “Grab it, mommy. Lookin nice 🙌,” a fan said with encouragement.
Another admirer gushed, praising both Pashkov and Spelling, saying, “Looking so fresh! I’m so glad you’re Tori’s best friend and instructor. Constantly ❤️❤️.”
The professional dance instructor and actress’s tenure on “DWTS” came to an end yesterday, September 25, 2024, even though she and Pashkov are still close.
Images of Spelling and Pashkov from their final competition night were posted on the popular show’s official Instagram account, which broke the news.
“We bid Tori and Pasha farewell last night. Observing the enthusiasm you infused into the #DWTS ballroom was very delightful! #OscarsNight,” the account wrote as the post’s caption.
Speaking with pop culture publication Entertainment Tonight during their debriefing following their elimination, Spelling discussed her experience on the show and how she had turned down the chance to compete more than thirty times before.
“I never really believed in myself for very much, but this experience has truly helped me do so. “Pash has given me confidence in myself, so yes, I will continue dancing,” revealed Spelling.
“I said no to Broadway so many times,” Spelling stated in response to a question about whether she would be interested in bringing her dance talents to the Broadway stage. I believe I will now say yes.”
Spelling has long acknowledged her struggles with self-doubt; back in 2009, she shared that she was having problems with her body image.
She was a single mother of two at the time, still wed to Dean McDermott, and dealing with the pressures of Hollywood to fit a specific image.
“I knew as soon as I left the house a week, even two weeks after giving birth, [to daughter Stella] people are going to take pictures and scrutinize,” Spelling said.
“It was hard to find that balance of what’s acceptable,” she said, contrasting the attention she was receiving with that of an average mom, who typically doesn’t have to stress as much over losing weight as celebrities do.
Spelling continued by saying she would see how other Hollywood mothers might return to their pre-baby shapes in a couple of weeks.
The “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress was candid about how difficult it was for her to adhere to the pressure to be skinny, saying that she didn’t really think about it until she started gaining attention from the media in her 20s.
“The weight didn’t suddenly disappear when I had Liam. I have to work out and eat right. After Jessica Alba gave birth, I recall thinking, “Wait a minute, it flew right off her,” when I had Stella. After learning that she exercises six days a week, Spelling said, “I was like, ‘Oh God, no, I can’t do that.’”
With the help of her family and a well-balanced diet consisting primarily of organic foods, Spelling lost the baby weight in just seven months.
“She is really good at eating healthy,” McDermott continued, confirming how his then-wife had dropped weight. Her diet is equally as rigorous and focused on her goals as her career.”
Years after her 2009 disclosures, though, Tori Spelling acknowledged utilizing weight reduction pills to aid in her weight loss following her fifth pregnancy.
In the candid podcast “Mis-Step” on “misSpelling,” Spelling talked about her personal experiences using Mounjaro and other weight-loss medications. After giving birth to her fifth child, she struggled to drop the baby weight that she had been able to lose in the past.
“I was fortunate enough to lose the pregnancy weight after having four of my children. When I reached 160 with Beau, I was having trouble losing weight, and the doctor said, “Well, it’s an age thing.” At 44 years old, I gave birth to him naturally,” said Spelling.
She went on to say that she had tried more traditional weight-loss techniques like working out, fasting occasionally, and maintaining a nutritious diet, but she was still having trouble, which is why she had gone to her doctor. She went on to say that she needed to take hormones because she was at the point where she was entering menopause.
After her most recent pregnancy, she struggled to shed weight in contrast to her always-slender life, which she attributes to having good genes from her parents.
