Shaquille O’Neal is not only one of the most famous basketball players of all time but also one of the most generous. Known for his prowess on the court, Shaq has also made headlines for his acts of kindness.
Numerous stories have showcased Shaq’s generosity over the years. He is frequently spotted covering bills for others at restaurants and leaving substantial tips for waitstaff.
The Collins Kids, a popular Instagram account, documents the lives of a family with nine siblings. Shaq, a friend of the family, often spends time with them, further demonstrating his involvement and generosity towards those he cares about.
The Instagram account, managed by Karissa, a young mother of 9 children, has garnered over 350,000 followers. Shaq had been engaging with the family through their Instagram and, at the start of this year, he paid them a visit.
During his initial visit, he spent quality time with the children, showering them with attention and care. Karissa later shared a post about the visit, stating, “He came in and played ‘Watch ya mouth’ with the kids, loved on them, encouraged them, entertained them, took pics with them, gave them gifts, encouraged us as parents, and just showed us so much love.”
While the initial interaction was already more than the family could have hoped for, the legendary athlete had even more in store. A few months after their first meeting, Shaq reached out again and surprised the family with a dinner outing. “Last night we had a surprise visit from Shaq. He took us to dinner as a family at Babes Chicken. It was so much fun to just hang out and eat dinner with him,” the family shared.
But Shaq wasn’t done yet. The following day, he took an extra step by bringing the family to a Mercedes dealership where he ordered a custom 15-passenger van for them, set to be delivered in mid-July.
The family was overwhelmed by his kindness, and the kids were thrilled, showering their hero with hugs in their excitement.
But Shaq’s generosity didn’t stop there! The family had another dinner outing with the NBA legend, where he continued to spread joy and laughter throughout the evening.
