Few celebrities command the same level of adoration and respect as Goldie Hawn.
Having been active in the entertainment industry since the mid-1960s, Hawn’s enduring popularity is a testament to her talent, character, and longevity.
When we envision Goldie, the image that typically comes to mind is that of an actress with long, flowing blonde hair – a signature look she has maintained throughout her illustrious career.
However, a recently unearthed photo from her high school yearbook, dating back to the early ’60s, presents a strikingly different version of the beloved actress we know today.
With natural golden locks, an infectious smile, and youthful skin exuding an enviable glow, Goldie Hawn remains radiant at 77.
Renowned for her comedic skills, the blonde beauty made her acting debut on the TV comedy series Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In (1968-1970). Simultaneously, she secured the lead role in the romantic comedy Cactus Flower (1969), earning her an Academy Award and a Golden Globe.
From there, Hawn’s career soared, landing starring roles in films like Steven Spielberg’s The Sugarland Express (1972), Private Benjamin (1980), Best Friends (1982) with Hollywood heartthrob Burt Reynolds, Overboard (1987) with partner Kurt Russell, Death Becomes Her with Meryl Streep, The First Wives Club (1996) alongside Bette Midler and Diane Keaton, and The Christmas Chronicles (2018 and 2020) where she and Russell played Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Goldie has solidified her stellar reputation over nearly six decades in the spotlight, making it challenging to imagine a time before she was a beloved actress gracing our screens.
In 2020, My Heritage colorized yearbook photos from Maryland’s Montgomery Blair High School – Goldie’s alma mater. These images not only reveal a youthful Goldie sporting a short pixie cut but also highlight her active involvement in theater and drama societies.
Today, after nearly five decades in the industry and raising three children, Hawn still exudes beauty. Contrary to expectations, her beauty secret is not an expensive array of products but a kitchen staple – olive oil.
“There are great creams out there. Creams with this and creams with that, but I ingest oil,” Hawn disclosed. “The skin is our biggest organ, and as you get older, you get drier. I ingest two tablespoons of olive oil before bed and massage my face.”
As for her iconic golden locks, they remain entirely natural. “I know it sounds strange, but I’ve never colored my hair,” Hawn revealed. “I just put a regular rinse on it because I don’t have any chemicals on it.”
