Janet Jackson expressed how she really feels about participating in interviews…in the middle of an interview, and it’s so hilariously unfiltered.
During a recent interview on Heart Evenings with Dev Griffin, the 5-time Grammy Award winner has been entertaining the masses for decades, both on-stage and on-screen, and she continues to do so to this day. So, Dev asked her what’s the one interview question she wished reporters would stop asking her, and Janet gave an unexpected yet candid answer.
“I don’t mean to be rude, but I have to be honest with you,” the music icon prefaced before fully responding. “Please stop asking me questions.”
“I never thought I give good interviews. I really don’t like speaking, so I’d rather stay quiet and listen to other people talk.”
The “All for You” singer said she’s always been that type of person and didn’t allude to any particular moment that made her feel that way.
Although I’m sure she meant every word, the tone of the conversation was very playful. Janet even made it her duty to reiterate her request for reporters to not ask her any questions.
