Halle Berry’s ex-husband, actor Olivier Martinez (58), was spotted walking in Los Angeles yesterday, but many did not recognize him. New photos were released after the actress revealed she has spent $200,000 trying to negotiate custody of their son, Maceo.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez married in 2013, welcoming their son the same year. They separated in 2016 and officially divorced in August 2023, currently engaged in a tough custody battle.

Martinez has shocked and concerned many with his appearance in the latest photos. Compared to how he looked alongside Halle Berry in 2013 and 2014, he is virtually unrecognizable now. Whether the years have taken their toll, despite him only being 58, or if something else is at play remains unclear.
Documents obtained by Us Weekly reveal that Halle claims to have spent over $200,000 on legal fees, including voluntarily paying $80,000 for her ex-husband’s legal expenses.

“I’ve done everything possible to work with Olivier, to communicate with him, and to involve him in the decision-making process regarding our son in a friendly manner. Olivier has refused to co-parent and communicate with me about the child, remaining steadfast on all major issues concerning Maceo,” the actress emphasized. She added that her former partner refused to pay child support, which forced her to “work,” and also denied covering the costs of home visits from the therapist involved in the process.
Messages exchanged between the former spouses were also made public, in which Halle expressed, “I’m very sorry we are at odds. I had higher hopes for us. I always hoped we would be better for our son and that we would work together like before Van (Van Hunt is her current partner).”

Halle has been paying child support to this former partner with whom she shares a daughter.
In the messages, Halle continued: “You don’t stop being angry; I don’t know why. We need to let go of that anger and be better. Maceo deserves that. I’m tired of being called a liar, tired of fighting with you, and I’m giving up.”
Olivier replied: “You play dirty and don’t put our son’s interests first, but karma comes around, don’t worry.

The custody battle continues, with Halle stating that Martinez is harming their son by delaying the next hearing with his latest request. He claims that the actress does not give him enough time to prepare. The Oscar winner sought full custody of their son last month, mentioning that the boy has learning difficulties, having been diagnosed with ADHD and mild dyslexia.
Halle emphasized that the actor is unaware of Maceo’s problems and neglects these issues. Martinez requests that a court expert be involved in this matter, which she finds nonsensical, as reported by the Daily Mail.
