Julia Roberts Daughter Is Growing up Quickly and Looks Just Like Her Mom Back in the Day

Do you happen to know which celebrity stays relatively low-key? Julia Roberts.

The Academy Award-winning actress has graced some of the most iconic films of the last three decades, yet her personal life remains largely mysterious to her fans.

While there exists a Twitter account under her name boasting over 540,000 followers, it’s been dormant since its creation, never issuing a single tweet.

I attempted to locate her on Instagram, but all I found was an unofficial fan page.

Facebook? Not a trace.

In today’s era, most celebrities are active on social media, engaging with fans and sharing glimpses of their lives, but Julia Roberts hasn’t embraced that trend.

Curious about another celebrity who maintains a notably low profile?

The Oscar-winning actress has left an indelible mark on cinema over the past thirty years, yet fans know surprisingly little about her personal life.

However, one thing is certain: when Julia Roberts entered the realms of marriage and motherhood, her life took a profound turn for the better.

Today, her three children have matured, with her daughter, in particular, attracting considerable attention in recent years.

It’s perhaps not surprising, given that the young lady bears a striking resemblance to her famous mother.

While most celebrities are avid social media users, regularly updating their followers with family snapshots, Julia Roberts, one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, hasn’t jumped on that bandwagon.

Although a Twitter account exists under her name with over 540,000 followers, there hasn’t been a single tweet from the account.

Facebook? No activity there either.

“I also think I got lucky because … the strange culture of celebrity and the Internet age — I kind of am too old for that silly mess that goes on. I’m glad about that. It’s helped that I’m definitely of a particular age,” she remarked.

Her sole online presence for updates is her Instagram page, yet even there, glimpses of her family life are rare.

In fact, Roberts has been notably guarded about sharing pictures of her children over the years, preferring to shield them from the public eye.

“We try to protect our kids. We just want to have our family life and not have that intruded upon,” she explained to USA Today in 2013.

Julia Roberts’ First Marriage
Throughout the years, Julia was romantically linked with several prominent actors, including Benjamin Bratt and Kiefer Sutherland. Once hailed as America’s sweetheart, she had no shortage of suitors.

In the pinnacle of her career, Julia began a relationship with singer-songwriter Lyle Lovett. The singer was smitten and impulsively agreed to tie the knot with the actress. However, the marriage faltered under the weight of their celebrity status.

In fact, the pair exchanged vows in 1993, only to divorce by 1995.

Julia Roberts’ Husband
Five years later, the “Pretty Woman” star found love behind the camera lens. In 2000, she crossed paths with cameraman Daniel Moder on the set of “The Mexican.” They later exchanged vows in 2002.

The couple welcomed twins Hazel and Phinnaeus in 2004.

Three years hence, they welcomed their third child, Henry.

According to Roberts, her transition to wife and motherhood marked a significant shift. In her youth, Julia admitted to being “a selfish little brat running around making films.”

Her husband altered that trajectory.

“It was meeting Danny… finding my person. When I think about what makes my life my life, and makes sense and just shine inside of me, it’s him. Everything has come from that for me,” Julia shared with Harper’s Bazaar.

Over the years, Julia and Danny have collaborated on various film projects, fortifying their bond, and celebrating twenty years of marriage. Last year, Julia marked their 19th anniversary with a rare Instagram post featuring her and her husband.

“19 years. Just getting started!” she captioned.

Julia Roberts’ Children
Presently, Julia takes immense pride in her twins, Hazel and Phinnaeus, and her youngest, Henry.

Despite still being one of the world’s most recognizable faces, Julia describes herself as an ordinary soccer mom and homemaker. During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she quipped, “If I wasn’t here today, I’d be in the carpool lane ferrying my kids to school.”

As previously mentioned, Julia welcomed her twins in November 2004. Henry followed in June 2007. Although she considers her children her greatest achievement, parenting hasn’t always been a walk in the park for Julia and Daniel.

“I tried to carry somebody up to bed the other night, and it was just… alright, you’re gonna have to get on your feet and sleepwalk because I just can’t get up the stairs,” she joked in an interview with InStyle.

While Julia has endeavored to shield her children from the limelight, she has occasionally discussed motherhood openly. She has also noted that her children bear striking resemblances to both her and Danny.

“And the thing is, we have these three human beings who are just a complete reflection of the affection we have for each other,” she remarked.

In pursuit of more privacy with her children, and perhaps to evade the Hollywood paparazzi, Roberts relocated from bustling Los Angeles to the quieter environs of San Francisco, opting for a more diverse neighborhood.

Her decision was driven by a desire to escape the spotlight and provide her children with a more serene upbringing. According to a friend speaking with Closer Weekly, Julia wanted her children to experience life in a city with a different energy and vibe.

“Her kids are not movie star kids in San Francisco, where no one cares who your mom is,” the insider added.

As her children mature, shielding them from public scrutiny becomes increasingly challenging. Alternatively, it may signify a shift in Julia’s perspective.

On their birthday in November 2021, Hazel and Phinnaeus received heartfelt tributes from their mother, who shared a beautiful throwback photo. Danny also posted a sweet shout-out to the kids.

Hazel Moder
Hazel, Julia’s only daughter, was relatively private for a long time. However, more recent photographs of Hazel have surfaced, revealing an uncanny resemblance to her mother.

Aside from Hazel’s blonde hair, she’s practically a mirror image of her mother, wouldn’t you agree?

Furthermore, it appears that Hazel has not only inherited her mother’s striking looks but also her compassionate nature. Julia once shared a touching story about Hazel’s altruism when, at the age of 12, she decided to cut her hair to donate it to Wigs for Kids.

“It was a significant decision for a girl on the brink of turning 13, especially with her long, blonde hair that attracts so much attention,” Julia recounted to InStyle in 2017. “Yet, she showed incredible courage and kindness. She viewed it as an opportunity to help others.”

In 2021, Hazel caused quite a stir when she made her debut on the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival. The 16-year-old accompanied her father, who was attending for his film “Flag Day.”

According to Etonline, Hazel opted for a ’90s chic style, wearing Mary Janes and a butterscotch yellow button-up lace shirtdress. Her presence certainly turned heads at the prestigious event.
